Tuition has skyrocketed 50% in the past five years.  We want to lobby state legislatures to give the UW System more funding, and the Board of Regents to give UWGB an increase in funds.  After all, Wisconsin jobs need Wisconsin education.

Students have been paying for the expansion of the Kress Events Center.  What happens after the project is completed?  We would like to be sure that the students are not responsible for operation expenses to run the new Kress Events Center. 

Finally, we would like to instill a payment plan option for summer school that is more convenient for the students.

Athletics

Student participation in athletic events brings awareness to UWGB and also allows for school spirit within the community.  We would like to work with the athletics program to increase attendance to athletic events.

Students pay to play intramurals through segregated fees, but also have to pay a sports center membership fee.  We will work with the Sports Center to minimize the extra costs for students.

Technology

Technology is an integral part of higher education today. UWGB continues to be a leader in the implementation of new technology. In addition, testing on future technology occurs on a regular basis. We will work to continue in this crucial area of our education to assure continued growth. Pod-casting and remote desktop technology that would allow 24 hour access to labs for students, are two examples of projects currently being tested that we support.

 We are committed to provide the student body with the absolute best technology to meet the challenges of our modern, high-performance world.

Academics

We understand the hassle with the General Education program.  With that in mind, we would like to continue working on making the General Education program easier for students.  After all, why should this program bring down your college experience?

Winterims are available at multiple other UW schools, why not at UWGB?  We would like to see this installed into the academic calendar.

Students are busy, so why not offer more online classes?  We will help to offer more online classes for students, at their convenience.

Follow through on the public safety budget issue by lobbying the board of regents to create a state standard for the UW System.

Give student input on the growth agenda.
